The Original Black Agave Spirit
Deathmetl is the premium black Agave Spirit that redefines the ultra-premium experience. Bold, smooth, and unmistakably dark. The darkness, distilled.
Authentic Artisanal Agave Spirit.
Product of Jalisco, Mexico.
40% Alc./Vol.
Deathmetl is naturally flavored and colored using Black Catechu, which is a natural herbal extract derived from the acacia tree (Acacia catechu), native to Southeast Asia.
The Sacrifice of the Metl
In the ancient tongue of the Aztecs, the agave was known as Metl. To craft this spirit, the Metl must endure a brutal end—crushed, charred, and distilled until only its darkest essence remains.
We've embraced the darkness, crafting a black Agave Spirit as deep as a low-tuned riff and as complex as a technical solo. This isn't just a drink; it's the visceral soul of the agave, resurrected in black.
Born in the soil. Forged in the dark. Drunk in the pit.
Made for sipping
Deathmetl is crafted for the long reveal. Deep, complex, and flawlessly dark—this is luxury intended to be savored, not rushed. Own the night.
Made for mixing
Deathmetl empowers the mixologist to command the shadows. Bold, and unapologetically dark—it turns every cocktail into a liquid masterpiece. Paint it black.
Tasting Notes
- VISUAL: Obsidian Void. A deep, light-absorbing black achieved through the infusion of Black Catechu.
- THE ATTACK (Nose): A sharp, "percussive" hit of raw agave and wood smoke, followed by an earthy, resinous undertone of dark forest floor and dried bark.
- THE RIFF (Palate): The Catechu provides a "high-gain" texture—dense and slightly tannic. Expect a complex interplay of bitter dark cocoa, leather, and a woody sweetness that grounds the agave's natural brightness.
- THE BREAKDOWN (Finish): Remarkably smooth and persistent. The Catechu leaves a structured finish on the tongue, much like the vibration of a low-tuned string, with echoes of cloves and black tea.
